Theory of a Failed Theory

"Ahhh.....  FAIL!!"

That is the phrase I used to hear on the radio every morning, and it is exactly what I think of, when I hear people say "Fail". It's a little hard to describe in text, but basically it starts with a male screaming "Ahhh..." as if he is falling off a cliff. Then it is followed by a choir-like voices singing the last word "Fail!", in high-pitch much like something heavenly or holy or wadeva. Hmm... Get it? lol.

Anyway, that's not the important part of this post. Just an entertaining intro. The main part is that I think I failed ultimately and majorly at predicting the psychology and social interactions of girls. Spicy topic enough for ya? Good, now that I have you interests, I must warn you that I am discussing a failed theory, so much of this will be discussing a somewhat inapplicable failed theory.

Cutting to the chase, the main theory works with how our National Service and University Education system works. Basically, after graduating from their respective education institutes and before starting university education, all males have to undergo national service which spans a period of 2 years. What this essentially means, is that in the universities the boys will always be older than the girls. In a way it is weird, particularly for the girls, but its not by choice or anything...

So, the important part of this is friends! Friendships between boy and girl classmates. When the girls go to university and the boys go off to national service, they will be separated. So when the girls start uni, they will make new friends with the boys there, who are older than them. Similarly, the boys will make new friends with younger girls when they re-start their education. BY RIGHT, this theory should hold true. But I failed to consider the magnitude or rather the ease of making new friends of different age.

In reality, the girls don't actually just 'forget' their boyfriends and other classmates who are in national service. They can still socialise and meet up regularly, thus renewing their friendships. So, for the older boys who don't really have any girl friends, this becomes a challenge or barrier to entry (if you like economics terms), that the boys have to overcome or jump over, in order to mix with the younger girls. If you are that lucky fella in national service with friends who still keep in touch then lucky you, but you must know that when you come out, they will be your seniors, and will probably be learning different stuff from you. For the rest of the less fortunate, there are only 2 options. Either learn to adapt and socialise, and fast. Or live a sad and lonely life in uni with only you and your guy friends.

The second option is really not THAT bad if you think about it. Still get company, though not much chances of eventually starting a happy family... Unless you are not straight... Lol. But there are many variables to consider. In your bachelor lifestyle and single life, there might be a sudden rare occurrence or meeting that would set of what eventually becomes a  strong relationship. It's really hard to predict these things.... The other safer option though, is to socialise. And in this department, some people are more social than other, so it's not an even playing field. It's literally a war zone, especially when the Demand and Supply do not meet...

What about me? Let's just say I am not very sure where I am now... I keep hovering between option 1 and option 2. In my opinion, both promise a different path to happiness. Different type of happiness. However, if the socialise option bears fruit, it could be powerful enough to motivate success as well. Hence my dilemma. Unsure whether to pursue, or to just take a step back and take it easy for now. They say there are many fish in the ocean, but this ocean is the type of over fished and underpopulated ocean... :\

However, the more and more I think... The harder it seems to make the socialise option work. Especially with my eccentric personality. I might actually be better off going for the other option and hoping a that once in a lifetime 'rare occurence'. Though I can argue that it's been many years already, and I have not had such an 'occurence'. And there is no telling how long it will take, or if it will even happen.... I seriously need to go out more. I wish someone would ask me out. : (

Sigh... Conclusion? None.
Big Conundrum.

"Ahhh..... FAIL!!"  :s

I hate Practical Exams! >=[

They are 110% fucked up!

I am a good programmer in terms of understanding the language and syntax.
But when it comes to on-the-fly problem solving and logical/mathematical thinking, I am rather lousy. I know we are supposed to be able to do it, and it is within expectations... But I just can't. I'm slow ok. I need alot of time to think, discuss and research a solution. Fine, I suck.

Damn sad... Nvm, I don't wanna talk about it.

Let's talk about something else.

I am shy. I couldn't even say hi. WTF is wrong with me? I hate myself.

And why do people make tweets private? Is there really that much to hide? 0.o
Grrr... I gotta add to see. Ok, fine I WILL! Soon.... Mustn't raise suspicion.

I need someone to tell me it's all ok...
Yes, you! Why do you read my blog and not comment.
I know there is somebody visiting my blog secretly. Say something! Are you a coward like me?

Pssh... Too emo.. Bleh. Perfer the happy and fun mood.

Ok, time for some songs.

Very strange video, I mean WTF is coming out from her boobs? O.o
But the song is really cheerful and encouraging, so I chose it. And it also reminds me of Magic. Ignite your planeswalker spark! Discover your full potential!

Oh well, why feel down when you can be happy all the time? It's just a matter of choice.
You choose, you decide.

Similarly, I always wanted to say why be alone when you could be with me. Happy together.
You choose, you decide? Lol.

K that was Lame.

Nothing much to say today. I will probably start posting more "about my day"s soon.
Until then, stop being emo!!

Interesting Findings...

Well, I got reasons for researching on the following topics...

I am an Observer, I analyse and study various things. Recently though, I have given up criticizing the various small things in life. I've learned to look for a more happy, fun and fulfilling life. And I am glad I have a place to record down my journeys of discovery, and my evolution through life.

Some things never change though. The need for critical and analytical observations remains. Just that I can apply them to different fields and matters.

Moving on to today's topic.

I once recalled watching and interesting documentary on discovery channel. I don't remember what it is exactly, but their findings really stuck in my head. It really gives us men a step-up, in terms of understanding slightly more, on how women think. For it is nearly impossible to fully understand how their mind works. It's like walking through a never ending labyrinth. My recent experiments and observations have yielded some degree of understanding though I am still far off......

TOPIC DELETED!
(12:12 AM 29 Oct 2010)

Felt that it was rather controversial, and not exactly politically safe... Lol
If you really want to know more about it, you can talk to me....
But since you don't know me, you could leave comments instead.  =)

How I almost died...

Sorry I didn't post anything yesterday... Was dying.

Seriously, never ever again man!!!

I left my marketing assignment to the last day to do it...
Little did I know that I had to read up on a topic that wasn't taught yet, all by myself. Coupled with all the research I had to do about the companies. Bundle that up in a nice package with 3 questions, and you get pure death.

I slept for 0 hrs last night. My new record. I've never been for more than 24hrs without at least a short nap. It's crazy. Don't do it.
To be exact, I took a 30 min power nap before heading for my lessons today. Not good enough. Nothing beats the full sleep cycle.

I nearly died on my way to school. I tried to improve on my assignment in the train and on the bus. The bus was the main cause. My motion sickness tendencies were greatly magnified from lack of sleep. I tried to do reading and typing in the bus. Gave me a super bad headache, and made me feel like puking. I seriously thought I was gonna die. But I lived.

Though I think my assignment was complete crap. I did research up some points, and did a little analysis, but if I were marking it, I would fail me. :(

Wadeva, I'm still awake... Gotta go catch some sleep before I die.
Hopefully I wake up.... Good "night".

P.S.  Who needs angels when you got your own personal God? The god will freakin pwn the angel! =)

Fun Day Today!

No "About my day" today, coz I didn't go to school.. Kinda. Lol.
Skipped my only lecture in the morning. So I had pretty much the whole day free.
Had to finish up my Marketing assignment. Which btw, is still not done.

But it was a fun day nonetheless. Hmm random thought. When to use nonetheless and when to use nevertheless? Or is it personal preference? Never thought about it much before, but guess it doesn't matter too much.

I should probably start my driving lessons again soon... Hopefully my money is still there, the stupid driving school likes to con our money. Lazy to check it now... It's not a small sum though...
I'll do it tmr. *procrastinates*

Anyway, it was a pretty fun day because my friend chatted with me quite a bit in the morning and night, keeping me quite entertained. My work filled the rest of the time. x.x

Not much to talk about today... I would like to reemphasize what I said yesterday though. NO BLOODY PERSON IN THE RIGHT MIND BELIEVES IN HOROSCOPES!! Hope that's clearer now. Jeez. Never let horoscopes or other superstitions restrict your life. It's sort and limiting enough as it is already! Why give up additional freedom knowingly? That's dumb! And if you are gonna tell me now that you believe the predictions, I'll smack you will a book. And then ask you to read my previous post. The fact of the matter is. WHO CARES IF IT DOES COME TRUE OR NOT?! IT DOESN'T MATTER!!!

Sorry. I just saw my friend wrote a blog post about horoscopes, and had to let it all out. Lol.

On the lighter side of things, I've started listening to chinese songs again. There was this particular song I was looking for which lead me to chance upon Wang Lee Hom's songs. The song I was looking for actually wasn't sung by him, but seemed similar enough, I think. Anyway here it is.

Betrayal by Gary Cao. His voice is quite amazing too. Though it's hard to compare anyone to Wang Lee Hom in general. Coz that guy is a genius. This is a very nice song though. Stuck in my head, and now stuck on replay.

Ok, gtg. Lessons in the morning. And I still have stuff to finish up....

Playing God - Paramore

Just a video post. Rockin to songs on my 4.1 speaker sound system. And doing my work of course! Kinda...

If God's the game that you're playing
Well, we must get more acquainted
Because it has to be so lonely
To be the only one who's holy

It's just my humble opinion
But it's one that I believe in
You don't deserve a point of view
If the only thing you see is you

Don't hate me, don't forget me!

I don't usually do an "About my day" post on weekends, since I don't really do much on weekends except catch up on my sleep, maybe study for a bit, and finish up my work. So no life right? What to do? School work is killing me. So much so that I'm just gonna resort to using broken english here. Can't be bothered to type my usual "perfect" english. Actually which style do u all prefer? Oops, doesn't matter. I forgot I'm just talking to myself.

What do you do when you feel like you are forgotten and left out? What should you do if noone knows you exists and nobody remembers you? Thank god it hasn't reach that bad a stage yet. I THINK my situation is still salvageable. I mean I just received a "goodnite" message on msn, and just seeing that gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside.  :)

No, not being emo again. Just stressed out from doing my stupid project. Ok it's not stupid. Just really tedious, so much research to do. And then there's that plagiarism problem. Argh... Headache. Nono, not emo. Must keep putting on a brave front. I gotta fulfil that image of the Knight in Shining Armour, or that Price on the White Horse. Wadeva, just gotta increase my product benefits and value proposition. Ok, marketing is messing with my head now.

I think I should move on to more interesting topics. I chanced upon a pretty funny post recently. Read it if you wish, it's not related to my blog.

"Singaporean Men Cannot Make It One Lah"

Yeah. I think it is made just for laughs, but I can't help but notice some inconvenient truths in the post. Or are they true? Crap if everything there is true alot of us are pretty screwed. Bachelors for life anyone?
Nah, I'm kidding. I'm sure that may be true for an observable number of people, but there are always exceptional cases. I like to quote the "bell-curve" effect for these kinda of things. Simply because it is so useful to explain everything in the world. If you want to learn the more technical math on this, you can wiki for "Normal Distribution", but honestly I have long since forgotten all my math. :(
Basically, there will be a large group of people who fall into the average, or center region of the graph. But there are always people who belong on either of the ends. It's not possible to encompass everyone into one set of beliefs. So therefore I can conclude that that blog post is really rather irrelevant.

Gosh, all the typos I'm making... I'll just let the spell checker fix it all. :P

Ok feeling sleepy now.

I would just like to end off by putting up more videos. Here are two songs by the legendary Wang Lee Hom 王力宏. He is truely a legend in terms of chinese music. His songs are fantastic. Oh yes, I do listen to chinese songs FYI. I listen to Japanese songs too, though rarely. Korean songs, almost never, but that might change in the near future, depending on how 'things' turn out. Yeah, I listen to them, but I don't really sing, not in public at least. Shy? You bet! It would take a drastic change in my life to change that fact.

WADEVA!!! Enjoy the songs!!

Instant classic. Love this song and the lyrics. Google around if you need an english translation.

Next Song:

Another classic. His songs are awesome, and I've only started searching up on it today. Read his wiki page. Did you know he scored a perfect score in SAT and was accepted into Yale and Princeton? But chose to take a musical path instead. And succeeded! He can sing in Japanese as well, and plays multiple instruments. Pure genius really. Too bad he isn't more recognised or celebrated. He is probably the modern Asian version of Mozart or something. Ok, maybe that's exaggerating. Nice songs though... lol

Ok, it's approaching 3am as I type this.. Really gotta go sleep now. zzZ

What I think about Horoscopes

Complete and utter bull-crap!
Yep, that's how I feel about horoscopes.

Horoscopes are generally used for two purposes. One, is to find out your daily horoscope predictions on how your day is gonna turn out. Two, is for romance and finding your "perfect soulmate". Today I am gonna show that in both of these applications, it is utterly useless bull-crap, and that nobody in their right mind should go into these stuffs.

Ok, starting with the first one. The application to predict our daily lives and how our day is gonna be. Now, I have no big issues with this, except that it is usually nonsense. I mean, the predictions are so general that it could apply to anyone. You don't have to be of that specific sign. The "predictions" could just be something general that could happen to many people. So people who feel like it applied to them would think that the prediction was accurate. It's all a psychological trick, I've seen such things in a documentary before, but I won't go too much into the details here. Perhaps a simple illustration, here is my horoscope for today:

Work toward achieving a better unity between you and the people around you, Aquarius. It could be that certain people in your circle of friends somehow feel alienated in one way or another. Perhaps they don't feel like they fit in with the rest of the group. Remind yourself and others that everyone is unique and that all should be equally accepted despite individual differences. ~horoscope.com

Firstly, yes I am an Aquarius, but that doesn't really matter. For Christ's sake, don't let that fact change your opinion of me. I'm just me ok?

More importantly though, let's take a look at the so called "predictions". If you noticed, they are using very general and vague terms like, "It could be", "certain people", "one way or another", "Perhaps", etc. These are all vague terms that people use to cover up their uncertainties in such a way that makes them sound certain, but can shy away from accusations should you try to challenge them. I know, because I frequently use them. It's a useful tool to "cover up you leaks", and seem knowledgeable and confident about stuff you actually don't know. Lol.

I just want to state that these kind of horoscopes USUALLY don't harm anybody, but we need to know that it is all just for good fun, and should not be taken too seriously. It is just general "good advice" that you could apply to you life. Unless they are charging you money for it. In which case, it is downright dirty and unscrupulous conning of money.

The second use of horoscopes is far more harmful and potent that the first. In fact, I would go so far as to say that it could ruin lives! Serious!

My argument against this is not so much about the predictions themselves, which is bull-crap, but is about the disastrous effect of taking such things into account when entering a relationship.

Thankfully in these days, people hardly look at your horoscope before they actually start dating. Imagine the disastrous effect of two people who like each other very much, but one or both of them one day suddenly find out that they are "astrologically incompatible". In theory, it should not change anything, but psychologically it makes a really great impact. How so?

When the couple is well aware that they are "incompatible", they will start to take more notice of each others' differences, and slowly but subconsciously, they will gradually grow into and fit into the stereotype of the sign that they are in, unawares of course. Then over a period of time, they might start to blame each other for certain small mistakes and incompetencies of the other party, based on the characteristics on his/her sign. They might or might not say it out, but that is irrelevant, as long as they think of it. This in turn will cause them to grow apart or not get along so well. In the worst case, it could eventually lead to them breaking up.

It might not happen, but it is highly likely that that reading or even acknowledging horoscopes can have profound effects on our psychology. The worst part is that if it does happen, the effect on both parties can be potentially disastrous. And therefore, I argue that we should never take into account our horoscopes, and should regard it as utter bull-crap. I mean, if a couple loves each other very much, does it really matter what their signs are? If they get along, then that's fine! It not, then they should try to work out their differences and learn to accommodate to each other right? Isn't that how it's meant to be done? I rest my case.

So that's my take on Horoscopes. It's a fun thing to read and laugh about once in awhile. But one should never take it too seriously, especially in love and the so called "soulmate" crap.

On a side note, read through what I just wrote again carefully. You will notice I used some of the elements and terms of what horoscope writers like to use to sound vague. In my case, I used it to try and convince you of my arguments. It's elementary english really, but can sometimes be easily overlooked.

I just conned you! :P

Kidding. That's what I really feel.
Btw, it doesn't matter if you are not Gemini, Libra or Sagittarius.
Heck, you could even be Taurus, Scorpio or Leo, or wadeva.

You Aquarius friend will still always be there for you! ♥
^_^

Jump for Joy!

It has been said! That sacred word! Whooohoo.

Nah, probably just over celebrating. Not sure if it was meant in that way either. In fact, more likely than not, it probably wasn't. But who cares!? It totally made my day! Wheee. Who says theres no benefits of being a proficient programmer? Lol. Ok, normal people would be utterly confused by this stage. But I'm not telling! HAHA. All I will say is a repeat of what I posted on twitter:

"A few simple words that just made my day. ♥"

Yep. Just a few simple words that made my day. Not even by word of mouth. Just through msn. Good enough. Perhaps things are going in the right direction. Perhaps I can realise my dream sooner than I think. Perhaps... Perhaps I shouldn't think too much now. lol!

By the way, I learnt how to say "I love you" in many different languages. Gotta love the power of the internet. One day, hopefully I will get a chance to use them. Haha. XD

How to say "I love you" in different languages

English - I love you  (Duh!)

Chinese -  我愛你
                 (gua ai li - Taiwanese)

French - Je t'aime

Italian -  Ti amo

Japanese - 愛してる (aishiteru)
                  大好きです (daisuki desu)
                  好きだよ (suki dayo)

Korean -  사랑해 (sarang hae)
사랑해요 (sarang hae yo) [more formal]

Latin & Spanish -  Te amo

Just did a search on google and found a page with many different languages. But I only chose to copy down a few or the more commonly used ones, the rest are honestly quite useless. I actually knew the Japanese and Korean ones already, but after more research turned out that there are different versions of it. So, Copy/Paste!

Nope, it ain't Valentine's Day yet. Just feeling cheerful today. So let's post a video!

New song from DaveDays! Kinda like it. Catchy tune. Though his voice sound a little edited, gotta agree that it sounds nice. Like the lyrics too.

On the bad side of things.. (yes there is usually one)
I've got a Marketing Assignment to finish. I tried to start doing it, but just been procrastinating the entire day. Read through the textbook a little, but that's it. Wasted the whole day! Opps :P
Ah wadeva, there's always tmr!

Oh right, I got another term paper to do by tmr...  :s

Oh well, too happy to bother about these now. Time to go sleep and enjoy the cold weather! Yay! ♥

About my day

Oops! I'm late!
I originally wanted to post this up at 12am, but kind of forgotten about it.

So, about my day....
Actually today was quite uneventful and boring. My friend did not show up as usual. Eh, I'm kinda used to it already. Would be nice to have someone to talk to though. Oh wait, I should probably start chronologically.

Well, it was rather unlucky today because it started raining just before I was about to leave my house. And it wasn't your typical type of rain or light drizzle. It was the freakin raining cats and dogs kind of rain! Somehow managed to survive with my little umbrella. : )

So I reached school slightly later than I had hope because of the stupid weather. Spent some time printing my worksheets which led me to being 5 mins late. But he hasn't started the class, so it was fine. Then I realised the stupid printer only printed one side of my worksheet. Meaning to say I only got 2 out of my 4 pages... Dratz.

So yeah, as I said. My friend didn't show up as usual... And I gotta endure a boring lesson on recursion. Ok, it's not so much boring as it is confusing. But confusion leads to ignorance leads to pure stoning. Still trying to fully understand recursion. Sort of studying it right now actually. Though it is going as 80% slack, 20% study. lol. Boring lesson today. Luckily I got a random message from nowhere, from my other friend. Send about 2 or 3 messages back and forth to talk crap. But I really find these little things entertaining and amusing, so it kind of made my day.

So my lessons were from 1-3pm, then 3pm-5pm. My friend's lessons were just 3-5pm, different classes. I tried to plan a "coincidence" to meet up with her. Failed at both times though. She came early, so was already in the classroom by 2.45pm. And by the time my lessons ended, I think they might have ended early, coz I again failed to meet her. Oh well, guess I can't always succeed in scheduling these "coincidences". Will still try though. Not many ways for me to get some fun these days. Sad right? : (

Oh, and I missed lunch today. So I went to grab 2 "Egg Toasts" from the canteen to munch on while walking to the bus stop. After that, it was programming on the train again. The stupid Palindrome thingy had me stuck throughout the whole journey. So irritating! Recursion is not so simple after all.

Got Essay assignment to finish up during this weekend. Damn.

Well, that's my day. Relatively boring today. Maybe coz it started late. Woke up at 10am, lessons started at 1pm and ended at 5pm. Not much to do after that. Btw, though nobody will see this.... I am actually looking for a study partner. I realised that I can't fully focus when studying alone. I will slack and slack. Especially if I have my desktop in front of me. I need someone to go study with. We could learn much from each other.... Or just have lots of fun together! : )

Recursion

Boy, the past two days of recursive thinking is giving me a bad headache.
(Referring to Recursion in programming)

Hmm, when you get a muscle ache from training too much, it is usually a sign that you are growing muscles. Does that apply in the same way when you get headaches from thinking too much? I sure hope so. lol. Man, recursion is tough. I guess it's what separates the pros from the amateurs. I kind of got a hang of how it works, but I am nowhere near to calling myself a pro at it. I suppose it's all about logical thinking, and I do have some ability in that department.

Moving on to the next topic... The haze is still here! Even after that heavy downpour in the morning! Which is damn unlucky for me btw. I was about to go out, and it started raining. Just my luck. What really pisses me off is that I still see lots of people smoking! WTF! I mean, it's already so hazy, and those idiots are still adding more air pollution by smoking!? Ok, I probably wouldn't be so angry if it wasn't for the fact that some moron blew smoke into my face today. Soooooo hate walking behind people who smoke. They are so inconsiderate. Scum of the earth. Should be Sliced and Diced.

Slice and Dice is a new term I just felt like using. It just came to my mind someday when I was met with some idiotic and inconsiderate people. I imagined myself possessing a Samurai sword, and of course having some wicked sword wielding skillz. I will then proceed to literally slice and dice the said person(s). Just random slashes here and there, nothing much. But if I had to think of the cruel way to actually execute it, it might take me sometime to devise the most best way. I did come up with a rough idea though. First, slash their eyes to blind them. Then, proceed to cut off all their limbs one by one. Just slash off their arms and legs. Afterwards, simply leave them there to bleed to death. Should take too long.  Dunno if this is the best way. If you got other ideas I would like to here them. :)

On to the next topic, whew got a couple of stuffs to cover today. Not my typical boring day, but that's a nice change once in awhile. So, I have a problem with super emo people. I do emo once in awhile, but I can't seem to stand emo people. Actually, I'm fine with them, but when the emo person is someone I actually care about, then it affects me severely. Her emo-ness, if there is such a word, would then seem to transfer to me and affect me too. Then I would feel emo, and I don't like that feeling. Yikes this addiction is becoming a big problem. Should probably stop reading other people's tweets and FB posts.

Yep, that's probably all for now. I will make one more post later at midnight to reflect upon my day, as I usually do. Meanwhile, here's a fun popular Korean song that got stuck in my head awhile back. It's kind of nice and really catchy. You've probably heard it before! Haha.

About my day

I guess the most common title that I will use is "About my day". As I've said before, when I have nothing to rant about, I just like to reflect on my day...

Woke up from a really weird dream this morning. It was really difficult to force myself to get up though. I just felt like sleeping forever, and living forever in my dreamland. It was that good! My perfect wonderland situation. Hahaha. But for safety's sake, and to keep the dream a possible reality, I shall not say anything about it here. Hehe. Felt damn good though, and I slept rather soundly. Either I was really tired, or the haze is really messing with me. My mind was so tired the whole of yesterday.

The stupid haze is a BIG problem. In the morning, it was really bad and I kept trying to wipe my specs thinking that it's blur or something. I think it's caused by some stupid forest fire somewhere in Indonesia as usual. Seriously, they are SO FREAKIN DUMB! Why does this always happen and have to affect us? They should just burn themselves already. Stupid haze. Argh... Makes me sleepy zzZ

Okok, I shall spill a little of my dream, just so I can recall the "memory" (not exactly considered a memory? since I didn't actually experience it...), whenever I need to. Actually to be honest it's a little fuzzy, people don't usually remember dreams. I remember I was on the train and on my notebook, somehow with Internet probably through the mobile broadband thingy... Anyway, I was on facebook, and was reading comment of 2 people talking about me... And the story goes on as imagination brings it. That's enough sharing for now.

In any case, I solved my programming assignment in the train today. Only too about 25 minutes in total with the testing and adding of comments. The recommended timing was 1h 20min. Cool, I'm improving! I think I might actually finish my next practical exercise! Though I did hear it will be super duper tough because everyone did well in the previous one. (I didn't!!!)

So, today was lectures day. Went to school for a straight 4hr lecture marathon. Saps my brain juice like crazy. By midway through the second lecture I was partially awake. I swear that 'auntie' really has a special ability to put people to sleep. Most effective insomnia treatment ever!

I also realise my stupidity today. I went to school early to schedule and plan a 'coincidence' to meet my friend, but utterly failed because I mis-predicted the location. FAIL! Ended up going to lecture 5 mins late for no reason...

Gosh I realise I still have quite a few deadlines to meet, though the number of things I gotta do is steadily decreasing. But! That means the exams are drawing closer! OMG, it felt like I just started studying, and it's exams already?! WTF!

I got homework to do.... But I'm just stoning in front of my computer. Brain shut down quite some time ago already. Can't even think of fun or witty comments to talk to my friend on msn. Must seem like I suddenly went mute. :(

And now I feel hungry....
Gonna go grab a pack of chips to eat. lol
Yeah it's unhealthy, and I've been neglecting my health recently... But it's just for until the exams are over... I plan to do an intense workout regime during the holidays. Transform from flab to fit. From '3 layer fats' to '6-pack'! Wahaha, that last part is kind of pushing it. But yea gonna train a bit. Gotta raise the stakes right? Be a cut above the competition and increase my market value and product benefits (marketing much?). I don't think I'll fall sick so easily anyway. Been taking vitamin pills regularly. Vitamin C FTW!

Uh... nothing much to say already.. lol
Time to eat!

LolPics FTW!

Haha. Just felt like posting this.

This literally how people talk in the Army! Been there done that!

But I refrain from using any vulgarities now. Gotta be more matured and decent right? And I have a record of never ever using vulgarities in front of girls. Catch me doing it and I'll give you a small prize! Haha.

Honestly, before Army I also felt that there was not need for any vulgarities. I mean, seriously. If you need to insult someone real bad, you could use more sophisticated words right? Don't stoop to their level or lower. Use your sophistication to lambaste them! And pwn their fuckin asses. (oops, haha)

Ok, this is a record number of posts for me withing such a short span of time.
If I have the time, I will spice up my blog with more widgets tmr. Gonna copy some off from my friend's blog!

Still got lessons tmr. (Or rather later in the afternoon)

Time to Sleep!

printf("Goodnight World!");

Which would you prefer?

What do you prefer?

1) Someone who constantly jokes and makes fun of you?

2) Or someone who truly appreciates you and constantly praises you?

The first option is more fun most of the time...
But when it comes down to the serious substance, isn't option 2 better?

Random thoughts and pondering result in random Blog posts. Deal with it!

Got something to say? Then man-up (or woman), and post a reply comment.
Would help me know more too.... :)

Jealousy

Unfun!
Least fun day ever!

My GP teacher would kill me for saying that, so it probably should be something like "one of the least fun days I've ever had". But screw Grammar.

Spent most of the day slacking, despite not going for lectures. Bad me. Did finish one question of my programming assignment using the fugly UNIX system. Finally learnt how to work that piece of shit. Yay me!

Anyway, seems like I've been forgotten. Used to not care about such things, but now that I've changed, I am kind of upset about it. 4 + 1 wtf?! I thought actually only 4 of them. Gosh, must have been enjoyable. Yes I'm sprouting gibberish. Needed a place to dump this.... Argh!
Plus photographs to prove it. Double argh!

Nono, not gonna say anymore than that. Gotta control myself, but you can guess for yourself from the post title..  Repeat after me, "Fun and happy thoughts". Bah! I thought I would never see him after orientation.

Anyway, while slacking on youtube, I chanced upon a song that quite accurately represents how I feel. So here you go:

Jealousy, turning saints into the sea
Swimming through sick lullabies
Choking on your alibis...  lalalala~~~

Lol, watch the video for full lyrics, and it will all make sense. What am I jealous about? That I missed the fun? Or that I've never had chances to have so much fun? Whatever the case, I really need more fun in my life man....

Whew, feel much better after dumping everything and watching the video. I shouldn't have to be jealous. I am obviously the better choice, and it will only be a matter of time before that is obvious. Coz I'm Mr Brightside, lalala~~ Hehe, catchy tune.

Yeah, I will probably feel better after tmr. If anything it only adds to my determination. I might eventually just give in to Mr. Dark and go all out academically. Then bulldozer over everyone else in terms of result to be the most ideal choice. But is that the right decision? Should I? Somebody tell me not to. Please? Once I go down this path, there's no turning back....

"Yes... You shall submit to my powers... *evil laugh "

Someone help me :(

Argh why bother? Noone will see this anyways.
I shall stay positive but determined for the time being. Remember my never die attitude?
Until I get pwned real bad (this is pretty bad already though), I shall keep my efforts and smile.
Got an important chance of a lifetime coming in approx 2 weeks and 5 days... Must make a lasting impression.

Mega long post? Screw it, I got more stuff to say!

I just realised something bad. My sleep cycle is officially screwed up.
I feel more active and alert at night than in the day. Couple that, with the fact that my skin is uber pale from staying in front of my computer all day, and I literally look like a vampire! Not quite your Edward Cullen, but you get the picture. Would be nice to have Bella around though... =P

Turns out yesterday's misunderstanding wasn't a misunderstanding... Multi-level ultimate ARGH!

You know what?!

WHATEVER!!!! >=[

About my day

So, usually when I have nothing to talk about, I like to reflect on my day.
Gives my time to think about what's happened, and analyse how it could have been better.
Sounds all technical and stuff. Basically, just means writing a diary entry. LOL!

Tuesdays are really fun. It's the day I get to meet all my good friends in the span of one day. Like that's rare, seriously. Although one of them is usually absent, but it's fine coz I'm used to it. The important person I'm looking forward to meet is my friend from a different course from me. Same faculty, just different course, so we seldom meet.

Today was rather funny though. Coz when she showed up, she was discussion something with her friend. About skipping lectures. Lol. Somehow I got roped into the conversation, because of the lecture I crashed the day before. But I was subsequently excluded from the rest of the conversation afterwards, and then she left without saying anything. Awkward.

Yeah well, it's good that I get to meet all my friends in one day. Constantly feel so lonely all the time.
Had a presentation today. A little nervous, but less so. I'm kind of getting used to this shit. In my course, I feel like I'm doing presentations every other week. Maybe I should switch course?

This brings me to the next point... The deadline to choose my specialisations is coming soon. And honestly, I haven't yet decided what I wanna do. I feel I should stick with what I'm doing simply because it's the best possible plan for my future career path. Business + IT is a solid foundation. But even so, I got a choice of 2 specialisations. The Internet security one which seems to be in demand (Jobs-wise), vs the Management one, which seems better as a general degree that sort of "covers-all" for a more general scope.

Beyond that, also comes a possible decision to switch over to the other course my friend is taking. It has no Business modules, meaning lesser presentations and projects (I think). And it has more programming, science and math modules. I am quite gifted in programming, and I should say I'm OK with science and not too terrible at math, but I'm not fully certain. As elegantly represented by my friend, it's a case of Syntax vs Grammar.

While I don't think it is that simple, the Syntax vs Grammar thing does have some merit. Problem is which one is more interesting or easier to handle? And which course promises a better job and brighter future? The choices are much more complex than that... Though I'm quite sure I made the right decision, I am constantly bugged by the question of which course I'll do better in. Coz a degree without Honors is just a lousy piece of paper these days.

So hard to decide.... So being my procrastinating self, I will put it off to later.
Just need to remember to decide by next Friday!

If you really read all that, I congratulate u for reading my monster chunks of text. Here's a video for your effort. (I realise I haven't put up any recently). The audio is a little soft, so you might need to turn up your volume....

This is my ultimate most favourite song ever! Love the rockin and catchy tune, and the lyrics is not bad too. All this delivered by a good voice. Really beautiful song. Love it!
This is my new ringtone for incoming calls. The text msg one is Insomnia. (you can watch the video I posted many posts ago)

Anyways, that's all for today. Kind of boring compared to most Tuesdays, but can't be helped. It's better than nothing. And I'm gonna miss my Wednesday tmr! Nooooo. My two favorite days of the week. Dratz!

Skipping Lectures

--- Previous Post Deleted ---

Deleted the previous post. Just me being emo, and over some misunderstanding also. lol.
Back to fun mode! Yay!

Anyway, my friend kind of challenged me to skip tmr's Math lecture.
And me having a soft spot, and easily being persuaded, decided that I'm gonna skip it after all. Lol.

Well, it is an attractive deal... I get to save my travelling time, wake up later and not have to sit there for 3 hrs of lecture. I can always just watch the webcast at home, in my comfy "CEO Chair". Besides, I got tons of stuffs I still need to do... (yea, yea. that's just me convincing myself. lol)

Fun Day Today!!

Yay, fun day today!!

Went to crash the Biology Lecture. I've never even learnt Biology in my whole life! Haha.
Still it was a fun time. The lecturer showed alot of funny animations and movies to entertain us. Wait, why did I waste 2 hrs going for this lecture that I don't even have to?

Lol. It's a funny story really. The thing is that our presentations are on tmr, and my group wanted to have a project meeting today. However due to the incompatibility of our screwed up timetables, we can only meet after 6pm.

Now, normally this would be ok with me. But on Mondays, my ONLY lessons is a 10am-12pm lecture in the morning. Am I supposed to wait 6hrs!!! That's crazy! The other option is to go home after lessons and then come again at 6pm. But give my travelling time, that isn't too feasible either.

So, the best solution was to skip my morning lecture and just come at 6pm. Let's me sleep longer too, which is good since I always sleep late. So it was decided. I shall skip school! (Sudden thrilling sense of rebelliousness rawr!)

The funny part is when I have all that free time, I really dunno what to do with it. I'm a born slacker by nature. No changing that. So I tend to waste away free time as well. Suddenly, a wild idea popped into my head!! Why not follow my friend for his lecture from 4-6pm? After all, he will only be free to do the project afterwards...

The bonus part about this decision is that I get to spy on my other friend... Hehe. Hey, it's my duty ok? I am The Observer! Lol. In any case, I had a fun day. The lecturer, and the frequent SMS msg from my friend sitting just a few meters across the room, kept me entertained for the most part of the two hours there. Pity she left early, coz the lecture became pure boring read-off-the-slides mode after that. Boo. :(

After which, we took the shuttle bus back to meet our other group members. Boy the bus was packed really crowded. Though probably not as bad as the other side of the road. (The people heading home.) So we skipped dinner and practice presenting up til 8pm. Hungry~~  =[

Too hungry to make the journey home. Stopped over at the shopping mall beside the train station to enjoy a Subway meal for dinner. Subway Melt = Da Awesomeness!

So anyway, that was my day. Fun eh? No? Well, fun is relative. I just need a couple of people to talk to, and smile and joke with, and that more or less completes my day. What can I say? I'm a simple guy with simple needs. Laughter and smiles bring joy to my life. =D

I've Kicked My Addiction

Yay. I've kicked my addiction to Element G! I am no longer fully dependent on it to survive. I have found a new form of motivation that is non-addictive and safer. Better to rely on yourself than to have to rely on others right?

That's not to say I hate and completely stay away from Element G now. I still enjoy it as much as I did. In fact, I am now better able to appreciate it's value and benefits because my vision is not clouded by an uncontrollable addiction... This in turn should allow me to acquire more of it easily...

So, I've kicked my addiction... NOT!
Whahahaha.  Are you kidding? No way. I'm still addicted. Just in a different way now.
This is so much fun! Ok, random Blog posts FTW!

Btw, decided to skip school today. Lessons only from 10am-12pm, but project meeting @ 6pm?
WTF are you crazy?! I'll just watch it online from the comfort of my uber comfy chair.

Yes, I am bored so I decided to post this.

I'VE FOUND THE SECRET!!!

Yes, I've found the secret!

Well, to be honest it's really no big secret... It's just something important that I just somehow forgot about.
I remember that I usually go around telling people "Have Fun!", whenever I hear them tell me they are going to do something. Especially when they are about to do something tough or tedious. I think the original intentions were kind of lost, and it became kinda of a funny thing or mockery kinda of thing.

But now that I think about it, there is actually a great significant meaning behind just these 2 simple words! Who would have thought?!
Anyway, the simple great important secret I've learnt about life in general, is that in order to have happiness and to feel motivated, we MUST have fun in EVERYTHING that we do! Always! Otherwise we will not have the motivation to carry on, and will give up easily.

It's really simple like crazy, but you will be surprised how many people are unable to do this simple feat. I personally used to live by this rule, but somewhere along the line recently, I lost sight or my core values and motivation, and somehow fell off really far from my desired position. Perhaps it's quite abstract and hard to imagine, but I really wanted to just give up and quit at one point in time. And suicide, that was never supposed to be an option, seemed that much more possible. Scary!!!

How did I regain my 'sight'? Well, I had a little free time this weekend due to me having completed most of my projects that were due last week. (More due the next couple of weeks though..) So, I decided to take some time off and slack around a little. Spent some time doing some soul-searching too. At the same I was trying to decide whether I should switch streams for my studies because they are offering this option for us now.

So, I talked to my "senior", who is in year two. Ok, although technically she is my "senior", we are actually the same age, in fact I am older if you count the months, but that's not really important. Aside from getting more details about the different streams, I realised something important. Why is she always so happy and jolly!? I mean, all this stress of exams and projects are slaughtering me already! Shouldn't it be worse for a Year 2 student? This little fact kind of got me intrigued, so I really pondered on it for some time.

Anyway, long story cut short, I found that THE ANSWER is simply to be more cheerful and jovial. And most importantly, to Have Fun in whatever you do. Every little thing, because LIFE IS FUN! There is no reason to live otherwise, seriously. Why always be so gloomy and serious about stuffs? Cheer up and turn that frown upside down! Have fun studying, programming, socialising, reading, doing projects, doing anything! And you are bound to excel in everything you do, simply because you enjoy it!

Wow, mega long post! I tend to get carried away when I am describing new discoveries. Lol. Anyway, it seems I still have my Observer analytical skills, but a new found motivation. A core, strengthened by Fun, Joy, Love & Laughter! There is no way I can be beaten now! The Observer is truly back in full power. Watch out world, your master is here! RAWR!!

On a side note, went shopping with family today. Spent hours standing and walking around, but I don't really complain coz I can take it. (Ladies take note, lol)
More importantly, bought a couple of new shirts and my Brand Spanking New CEO-Grade executive Chair! Synthetic leather, but still really comfy and relaxing. Now I can enjoy sitting at my table!

Anyway, that's really it for today. Until next time, remember:  "HAVE FUN!!!"

I'm Back?

My name is The Observer, and I'm back!

I'm not sure what the weakling side of me was thinking, but I assure you that the things he said are of insignificant value. For now I am back, the ruthless super power intellect that is the creator of this Observatory!!

Noooooo!!

Evil man, you shall not prevail!!! Not while I am still here!
**insert: sword fighting sounds, followed by scream of agony**

Sorry guys, there are a few sides to my personality. That was one of them. The "Dark Side" if you wanna call it that, was developed when I was in upper secondary to JC. I'm not exactly sure how he came about. I guess it was in part due to my lack of friends and a social experience that created him. But I didn't choose it on purpose. It was the complicated circumstances that gave birth to Mr Dark. Ok, guess that still makes it my fault, but I was just an innocent teen who knew nothing back then.

Mr Dark is a very powerful force. He has the ability to be very focused in work, and channel all available time into work and nothing else. The downside? Is that he is ultra anti-social, and feeds of anti-social behaviours. I would like to have some of that awesome intellect, but I am not willing to continue to forgo my chances of obtaining happiness.

So who am I? It's Mr Smiley here. Sometimes know as Mr Slacker due to being one of the founding members of the Slaxist society. (A society that is too lazy to even register its members or organisation name!) Nono, do not misinterpret me for a stupid or lousy student. I slack, but I still get my work done in the end, somehow. Usually last minute though. And still somehow still make it through the exams through raw talent and skill alone.

Actually to be precise, Mr Smiley has evolved into something slightly different from Mr Slacker already. I am now more towards the jolly and happy mood type, while trying to incorporate some of that focused power that Mr Dark is capable of. All this while trying to un-learn, and re-learn some social skills. All this, while I have lots of school work to do, and so little sleep. Mr Smiley hasn't been too smiley these few days. : (

Still, why not just give in to Mr Dark? After all, he has been the best solution for the several crucial years in my educational career. But what is success? Attaining all those shiny results? That super piece of paper that is the first-class honors? Or one can argue that happiness is the ultimate success. Leading a balanced and happy lifestyle, and then getting some level of academic results. Doesn't that sound better?

Mr Smiley really needs some good motivation right now. Unlike Mr Dark, I need some sorts of motivation to succeed to the same standards. Hopefully Ms Smiley / Ms Slacker will come along and one day read this blog post.  : )

About my day

Weird day today.
For the past 2 weeks, I have been super busy with all my projects. But it's Friday and I'm done with all my projects for this week! The weird part is that now that I'm free, I really dunno what to do. Lol. To make matters worse (or better?), one of my tutorials was cancelled for this week, meaning to say I ended school 2 hours early.

I really didn't feel like going home so early, so I went to try and meet up with my friend before she enters her class. Unfortunately, I just missed her by a few seconds. Was just in time to see her close the classroom door. :(

So anyway I still didn't feel like going home just yet. Then, I decided to waste some time at Vivo City. Went to Subway to have lunch and sit around there for half an hour enjoying free wifi, surfing the net, looking through tweets and playing around on Facebook. Just slacking basically. (Btw, Oven-Roasted Chicken+Mayonnaise+Sweet Onion = heaven!)

Nothing much to do after that. I really should go find some more friends. I don't even have friends to hang out with when I'm free! WTF! That's damn sad! :(
So I headed home...

Did programming on the train again. This is now one of my favorite hobby. Let's me finish more work and free up more time. Plus, bonus when people start to stare at u hard at work! Lol, I could sense the girl beside me constantly looking at my screen, and watching me type 'complicated' programming codes.

Yeah well, that was my day. Strange day huh? No? I need to socialise more. Anyone got an instruction manual? LOL!

Feeling Better

Feeling Better. In more ways than one.

The Flu is mostly gone. How ever now I'm coughing like crazy.
I mean CRAZY. It's like every 10-20 sec I gotta cough.
It's hurting my throat, and giving me a bad headache...

Still, it's more bearable than 2 days ago.
On the plus side, my good friend is talking to me again. Guess I misinterpreted the whole situation, and gave myself unnecessary worry. Lol. Whatever the case, I am in a slightly jolly mood now. I just finished my presentation slides too. Somewhat more free for the next day or two. Man, that's rare!!

Fun and Happy thoughts to all!
(No, I'm not high on drugs)

Sick...

Oh damn.

All these sleepless nights are finally catching up to me....

All the Vitamin C I have been taking could only sustain me for so long...

Down with Flu and it feels like crap.
Plus I still got all these deadlines to meet.

I hate this. Wish I wasn't sick...

Better go rest my head for abit. More work to do tonight...

Sleep Deprivation...

Oh Crap.

I'm sleeping lesser and lesser hours these few weeks.
Today I finally got a chance to breathe.

Better take this opportunity to make up for lost sleep!

Bye!

Switching Back

Temporarily (or maybe not?), switching back to my Brand C supplier of Element G. Brand J was really awesome while the supply kept coming, but it has been a long time since I had a dose from Brand J. Apparently the online ordering system is not accepting my orders anymore. Either the system is broken or the supplier no longer wishes to do business with me anymore...

So, it's back to Brand C for me then. But that's not to say Brand C is inferior or anything. They are almost equal in effectiveness. Just that they work in very different ways. On the plus side, Brand C recently underwent a full revamp of it's marketing strategy. It now positions itself as a more appealing and desirable Brand. Even in terms of ease of availability, Brand C has increased its supply, and now supports limited online purchase. The good thing is that I now get to meet the supplier personally on a regular basis as well, making it easy to get my supplies.

What can I say? Brand J, it was awesome while our business partnership lasted, but I somehow get the feeling you no longer welcome my purchases. Well, this part is inferred by me. Whether it is true or not, we shall see. I expect an online correspondence in about one or two days because of the services I provide in exchange for more Element G, but only time will tell. Of course, given my limited options and my severe addiction, I will still more than welcome future business partnerships with Brand J. Up until the point where I sign a Sole supplier partnership deal with Brand C. Unless, Brand J signs one with me first though... Man, this cryptic thingy is confusing.

Another option, find a third or more Brands to get my supplies. Well, this option is easier said than done. I took me forever to find these two Brands already. They are really rare in my area, and seriously hard to find. If anything, I don't mind adding a third Brand to my list of supplies, provided it isn't too difficult to get. And I think I would stop at there. Having to handle too many suppliers at once is really time consuming and exhausting. I'm sure there are people who can handle many at once, but I'm generally the type of person who likes to find a good one and maintain good relations with the supplier, so as to eventually lead to the signing of our agreement.

Ok, if you have no idea whatsoever about what I said, good. It's meant to be that way. I'm the only one who is meant to understand it. If you can figure it out, well congrats.

Well, enough ranting. Back to Projects!

Posted on 10/10/10 at 10PM

Yes, it was all planned. Perhaps I should have posted at 10:10PM, that would really be alot of '10's. Lol.
Anyway, I really didn't realise today's date, I guess I don't really take special notice of these things. I only learnt about it after watching the news today. As per usual, many couples like to get married on these special dates. So it was showed in the news.

Wonder when it will be my turn? Haha, thinking too much already. The maximum for such auspicious dates is 12/12/12 because there are only 12 months, and I really can't see myself getting married in 2 years time. Heck, we don't even know if the world will last so long! (weird sudden reference to 2012 movie)

Sigh... It's so lonely in here. I know I built My Observatory to be like a Fortress of Solitude or a Batcave. Somewhere I can sit and think, to reflect upon my life. But every once in awhile (ok more often than that), I just wish someone would be able to see my thoughts, and understand how I feel. I guess from this we can observe that humans are not lonely creatures, no matter how hard they try to be independent. They function better with others. It's like the saying goes. "No man is an island." Btw, no idea where that phrase came from. But heard it a couple of times when growing up.

It has become apparent to me that I have made my friend terribly upset. Or that I am one of the contributing factors. She seems to be avoiding me, at least online. Either that or I'm interpreting it wrongly and that her msn is just screwed up. If it is the first option, I really don't know what I did wrong. No I'm not an insensitive jerk. In fact, I would pride myself as one of the more sensitive and gentle peace-loving creatures out there. Ok, that's an exaggeration, but you get my point.

Seriously, what did I do?

Projects Projects Projects!

Yes, the title literally means I'm doing 3 projects at the same time. Talk about multi-tasking. Just when you thought all the stress is over after the exams, the projects pile up because you put them on hold to study for the exam. I could just die right now. That would sure solve alot of problems...

But hell, I'm not that weak. I'm made of stronger stuff, and I refuse to give in. That's one thing about my personality. I never know when to give up, and I refuse to admit defeat even til the very end. At least until I get totally trashed and pwned. Then I withdraw into emo mode. Let's not hope it gets to that stage.

On a side note, I'm running out of Element G once again. I think my craving and dependency for it has increased lately. I think that my craving for it is directly proportional to my current stress level. I really hope to get some soon, it would give me some motivation and reason to carry on.

Oh, and programming on the train is so fun. I found a new pseudo-hobby! Spending my wasted time in the train doing my programming assignment. Really got no choice. No time to do it otherwise. I'm amazed at how focus I can be while just sitting in the train with my laptop on.... my lap! I managed to finish 2 out of 3 questions just like that! But the 3rd on is the killer qn though. Let's hope I can finish it within a few train rides. Haha.

Saturday, October 9, 2010

Sorry....

Yeah, nobody will see this at all, but this is the only place I get a chance to say it.
"I'm Sorry."

Why? I guess I was quite insensitive. I let my happiness overwhelm me, and it may have inadvertently hurt you. For that I am sorry.

But, can't you just be happy for me? It is a happy moment for me, and I just wanted to share it with you. Because Olive You.

Wait, Olive You? What the heck? Is that a typo?

Nope, Olive You. It's true, with all my heart.

OWNAGE!!

Yep. Just got back from the exams.

The paper seemed really easy, though I made 1 or 2 careless mistakes, everything else seems to be right. So, hooooray! I freaking Aces the exams man! So happy about it. this test is worth 20% of my total score. Kind of makes up for the 10% I threw away the previous round...

On the down side, my friend got kind of demoralised for not being able to finish the paper.... I had better control my ego and happiness a little bit. And focus some of my efforts / enthusiasm in cheering her up.
Though she did kick my ass in that 10%, so it kind of makes us even? Oh well, guess people don't look at the happy things but brood over unhappy matters.

On a side note, I like these ad-hoc posting style. Sometimes I don't have time for the super long posts. So these short posts at least give me an opportunity to blog.

Exams!

No actual full fledged post today. (Or rather yesterday)

Coz I got my exams in about 7hrs (slightly less than that).

Stressed? You bet.

Just gotta trust that big brain of mine, wish me luck!

Time to "Sleep".

A few new discoveries

I think that somehow I have diverted from my original intention of creating this blog. The observatory is meant to be providing a critical analysis, or at least a different view of the world. At the very least, it is supposed to show my personal view of the world from an Observer's standpoint. Yes, the previous post kind of deviated from this, but I must say that my blogging style is an anything-goes style, and I like the flexibility. I cannot, and I will not guarantee that such crazy posts will not occur again. In fact I rather enjoy the random fun and crazy posts here and there. It really helps de-stress.

Anyway, on to the main topic. Actually there isn't one, but I have made a couple of discoveries today. One of the things is that I can actually utilise my outrageously long travelling times to and from school by bringing along my laptop and working in the train! Amazing discovery eh? I just can't believe I didn't think about it before. It could be partly due to the fact that I'm kind of lazy to bring along my 2kg+ laptop everyday... But I will now rethink this, because I now have the option to make up for lost productivity, and utilise wasted time.

On the same note, I realised that working outside on laptop seems to yield better results for me. At least while disconnected from the Internet. It leads to literally 0 distractions, and 110% focused work. Which is a really awesome discovery, because now I know how to discipline myself to get that rush of hard work. It also means something weird. It means that I'd rather work on a portable laptop and not my 22" desktop computer. Bad for my eyes, but good for my performance. Such a dilemma...

The next discovery comes from me spying on my friend's tweets on twitter... Yes, spying on others is all part and parcel of being The Observer, hehe. *cough cough*Er Hmm.
Yes as I was saying, I realised something potentially devastating, but is actually a social norm. The fact of the matter is that males HAVE to be successful in life. They just have to be the best they can be, in terms of career, relationships, school, work, etc. Then NEED to try the hardest they can if they want to lead a satisfying life. Females on the other hand (no offense intended, this is an unbiased observation), can choose to marry a rich man. That man who slogged his life to get rich (or simply inherited from his slogger dad), will marry the girl, and she will get to enjoy his wealth.

Do not misunderstand me, I am not viewing this in a negative way. I am simply observing it from an impartial view, that such a fact does exist. In fact, I am perfectly fine with such an arrangement, provided both parties know what they are getting into. For example, if I am that rich guy, I would marry a girl I love, if I know she loves me too. I wouldn't even consider the fact of having to share my wealth, etc etc. Coz that's what matters most in the end right? Just gotta lead a happy and fulfilling life while you can, nothing else really matters.

The last thing I found out today, is that I complain waaaaaay toooooo much! I think I have previously mentioned that I took a 2 year hiatus, resulting in my decreased performance in my academic strength. Well, I was at that time still really pissed off, because that 2 years thing is mandatory, and I simply wasted those 2 years doing nothing. But now I realise that it is entirely my fault for not keeping practise during that period of time. After all, most people have the same situation as me, it's what u make of it. The even more important conclusion of this is a simple phrase "stop bitching and start studying!", a modified version of something I heard. And how true this statement is. There really is no time to regret the past, just learn the mistakes u have made and move on. Too frequently have I fallen into this trap. It's time I should move on ahead. If not for anything, at least for my aim of becoming that rich guy that marries that girl he loves. For my happy ending.

Too simplistic a view? I think not. Sometimes we will finally realise that the best possible solution we had, was the easiest and simplest solution. And today, I finally made that discovery. So here's me making this new start, moving on to the next chapter of my life. If anyone is reading this, I suggest you take this advice as well, you will really appreciate how simple life can be.

Today Was A Fairytale

No, no particular reference to this song:

Though it is quite a catchy song, and the chorus is quite nice....

Anyways.... Today I went to school just for 3 hrs of Lecture, and my total travelling time was 2 hrs.. Hmm.. Seems like quite a waste of time since I absorbed about slightly less than half of what that guy said. Or not. I did get some time to catch up with a friend, which was the main purpose of going anyway, hahaha.

So I got a chance to hang out with my friend, great! We wasted some time together, chatted for a bit, and took the same bus all the way to the train station. Happy day!
No no, I'm serious. I'm in quite a good mood today. Managed to get a super concentrated boost of Brand J's Element G from my friend.

Whoa this is a serious change on writing style for me. But, maybe I like it? I hear personal blogs are supposed to be informal in style? My writing is really free-style. I go serious when I'm in EMO Mode, and I will be jovial and light-hearted like a teenage girl in love (-_-"), when I'm in a super happy mood. It varies drastically. Today just happens to be closer to one end of the spectrum than the other. Though I have yet to go to the extremes of starting each post with "Dear Dairy..." LOL!

Hmm... This is the first post with videos. Maybe I should put some pictures and videos into my posts. But it really depends on my mood and how I am feeling. Free-Style YO!
Anyway, since I am so happy, Bonus video! Let's Go!

Heck, why stop at two?
Here's the Korean version for you K-Pop lovers.
Enjoy!

Well, that's all the videos for now, hope you enjoyed it.
And no, I'm not some identity thief impersonating The Observer. I'm just feeling weird today...

Until next time,
The Observer signing out.

What is Element G?

Yes, I did promise to post something interesting today didn't I?
I think my friend is right. I really do have too much work to be doing this Blogging thing on a regular basis. And I don't really have to keep my promises here... It's my Blog after all, I get to decide. But, I don't wanna come across as an unreliable person, so here it is.

There's a catch though. I wanted to post some personal and sensitive stuff today, but I dived straight into my project work after I came home. So you only get this short introduction, and it is in a Cryptic form which I had though of over the past few weeks. Anyways, just enjoy the story and figure it out if you can...

So it all started when I posted something on FB that goes along the lines of me being addicted... To something. And in a previous post I had said that I needed to get more "Element G" to survive through the week. So, piecing the 2 parts together would show that I have a new addiction, to Element G...

So what is Element G? Well, in an even earlier FB post, I said that it is something that can give motivation and morale boost. So, it would appear that it is some new kind of powerful drug that I can take a shot at regular intervals, to achieve amazing results. And for the sake of this discussion, and future mentions, it will be treated as such. Just for fun, to see how it goes.

So, I bet you wanna know more? Well, currently I am using 2 different Brands of Element G. One of them is the Brand I was previously using, let's call it Brand 'C'. And the other  one is the Brand I have been using recently, we shall call it Brand 'J'.

I actually used to like Brand C, when it was the only type I could get. Not that I don't like it now, still used it from time to time, somehow I have some problems getting supplies regularly from the supplier, and I was left high and dry for quite a period of time.... That really affected my morale and I was on the verge on giving up. :(

Along came Brand J! OMG is it amazing! I just happened to chance upon it one day, and it took awhile to take effect, but Brand J is of comparable strength or greater than Band C in different situations. The most important difference though, it the regularity of supply. Brand J offers Online Ordering! The supplier is really easy to get along with, and I can get my supplies even late into the night online in just a few clicks.

So that's the evaluation of the 2 Brands I have been using thus far. Perhaps I should state how severe the withdrawal symptoms are. It really is quite bad, not bad in the sense of your typical drug, but similar in many ways. The way it affects my morale comes in many profound ways. Suddenly life feels so empty without it, and the seems to be no meaning or reason to carry on. For a person who has never considered Suicide as an option, I think that is serious stuff.

Holy shit has this post gone on too long.
Anyway, I think I should do a fair conclusion. Brand C, I have no problems with. In fact, being an old and loyal customer, I really still trust the brand. If I can get Brand C to delivery the goods on time more often, that would be perfect. Brand J, what can I say. Exceeds expectations for me and really good service, pity I don't actually meet the supplier often. Usually it comes thru delivery and online ordering. I am hopeful for more, but it is fine for now. Either way, I have yet to sign a permanent contract with either one of them to have them be my Sole supplier, but I do hope one day it can happen. In which case I will have my unlimited supply of Element G. Then, I will really feel like I can do anything!

So, have you managed to figure out what Element G is? For close friends of mine, if you can't figure this out you need holes drilled in your head! It's quite obvious....
Anyway, have fun guessing. In the meantime, it's back to projects for me. Now where did I put my Element G...

Under Construction

My Observatory is still under construction, so you will see alot of new stuff added over the course of this week. I am experimenting with different stuff to and code to add to my Blog. The most recent addition is the Music Player on the right ->

These songs were specially selected by me to meet the theme of the blog, but I am still looking for more suitable songs and I need to fix some of the songs because the links are broken... But all this is part of the Construction works.

After not having touched HTML and webpage coding for a few years, I realised that I am not as resourceful and adaptive in my coding as I used to be. Incidentally, this is not just restricted to HTML. I was previously a very proficient programmer in C++, but after a 2 year hiatus, I realised I need to learn simple control structures all over again! How frustrating!!!

For those familiar with C, C++, Java or any programming languages, you will know what I am talking about. I am currently studying programming at University level. I had never (well, almost never) gotten infinite loops when programming during my college days, even when I was a beginner! Now I can't solve a stupid Logic error. Oh the horror, just how far have I fallen?!

Anyways, enough about my ranting. Just gotta suck it up and continue improving myself, for that's the only way forward.

Sigh... As I am typing this, I am ignoring my 3 Projects which are honestly killing me. There eat up every waking hour of my time. And I'm such a procrastinator. I just keep putting them off again and again. And mind you these are not your mom's projects. The are very in-depth and time consuming projects. Once you get started, there's no turning back, you'll be spending hours and hours doing research and analysis.

Why do I even continue this? What is stopping me from quitting?
Hmm... Important questions. I guess the answer is uncertain. But I am hoping that if I stay, I will eventually find my happiness. My happily ever after. Naive? Perhaps.
But you will never achieve your goals unless u try. And boy do I want to achieve them so badly. If only it was easier...

Blah Blah Blah... Me complaining... Blah.
Where is the motivational factor? Is Element G the solution? How bout some interesting topics for a change?
Okok, I will talk more on some Spicy topics tomorrow. Meanwhile, I'm falling asleep on my keyboard. Time to sign out from My Observatory. Bye!

Beware: Noob Blogger

Hmm...

Not much to say at the moment. Or rather, not sure how to phrase these ideas in my head. I might make another post again tonight. Meanwhile, I would probably like to talk about my new experience to Blogging. As you may know from reading my previous post, this is my first serious attempt at blogging. Then again, I think blogging should not be a serious thing in the first place... My first time doing this, I feel so noob. Maybe I should put up an 'L' Plate.

Just to show how new I am to this. Hehe. I don't even know how to get a nice Blog Skin. Just using the defaults that I find nice. After all, the more important part about a Blog is the content right? Speaking of the Blog skin, the reason I chose the background I'm using, is to illustrate the view from My Observatory. Like a place where you can easily observe the entire world from high up in space. For those of you that read comics, it is a reference to Superman and also to the Justice League's watchtower. That's really what I want My Observatory to represent. A sort of Fortress of Solitude for me to reflect on my own thoughts and see the world with a holistic perspective.

Speaking of 'L' Plates... I think if I had to put one up, I'd much rather use this one instead. L is definitely my most favorite character from Death Note. I can identify myself with him. He is sort of an anti-social weirdo like myself (correction: my ex-self). Though he is a genius, I am not nearly as great, but I do consider myself of considerable intelligence in most areas. For those who have never watched Death Note, you should really go see the movies, they are quite nice. The manga is not bad too, but I have not seen the anime.

I know this post didn't really contain much real content, but I just felt like blogging and didn't have much to write about yet. Which kind of leads me to my next policy. This is MY blog. My Observatory. You are welcome to view anything and read as much or as little as you want, but ultimately I decide my content so I do as I please. It may sound abit rude, but that's just the way it is. You may feel free to leave comments though, like how I can improve my blog since I'm so inexperienced...

Welcome to My Observatory

Welcome to my new blog.

Hmm.. This is supposed to be an anonymous Blog. Should I say welcome? Anyway, this is my first serious blog. Previous attempts have ended mostly in failure because of my neglect and lack of time. So why start now? Well, I got the inspiration from a friend. She has a blog that she updates daily with posts. Yes, I do have friends who are girls. Is she my girlfriend? Well, that's another topic for another day...

So anyway, I have decided that in order to keep myself from exploding, or spiralling into despair, I needed an outlet for me to dump my feelings. What better way to record the strange ways in which my mind works, than in an anonymous blog? Yes, this IS an anonymous blog. You won't find any specific references to my real name or the name of my close friends, unless they personally put it there, which I still would not acknowledge them.

Who am I? Well, I will not reveal my name, so you may call me The Observer. I am an observer who views and analyses all the things and people I come into contact with, all the situations I witness or come to know about, I analyse nearly everything. I love to find out how things work, and that's just part of my nature, so you will find my perspective on certain matters 'Different' or 'Odd', relative to the way 'Normal' people usually behave.

Does that make me an anti-social outcast? At times yes, it is inevitable, people who do not understand you just tend to avoid/ignore you. Most of my close friends do not even yet fully understand my personality. In fact, I personally do not claim to fully understand how my mind, and it's multiple personalities work...

Although, I am in the process of changing that. I have realised that if I continue to be a social outcast, I will eventually be unable to obtain happiness and love. And I am seriously working very hard to change, I just need a little time and the right opportunities. In fact the creation, and hopefully the continued updating, of this blog is a sign of my determination.

This introduction post is getting too long, time to cut it off.
For those of you who know me in real life, this place is a chance for you to understand me better, in my hopes to understand and be understood better, and hopefully be more open to social interactions. However, because alot of the things posted here are quite private, even if you ask me about it in real life, I will neither confirm nor deny the existence of such a Blog. I hope you all can understand.
Lastly, thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you enjoy viewing the world from my perspective, and visit again soon to read future updates.

Once again, welcome to My Observatory,

~ The Observer
